Pendergrass Library offers customized instruction sessions to classes, departmental orientations, and other groups. Does your class have a research project? We can help your students learn how to locate, evaluate, and cite sources correctly.
Types of instruction available:
One-time or recurring presentations (online or in-person) We work with instructors to develop meaningful sessions that help students build research skills, learn how to navigate the library, and support information literacy.
Asynchronous instruction: Incorporate library materials from research guides, tutorials, and other library resources. Ask us about embedding a librarian into your Canvas course site!
Are you teaching a class that requires or recommends students access library resources? Consider course reserves! Course reserves allow your class to have access to textbooks, DVDs, or other physical items through the library. Submit a course reserve request on our Course Reserves page.
Open Educational Resources
“Open Educational Resources (OERs) are any type of educational materials that are in the public domain or introduced with an open license. The nature of these open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt and re-share them. OERs range from textbooks to curricula, syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, tests, projects, audio, video and animation” (UNESCO). Visit the Libraries’ OER guide to learn more.
