Description
The Libraries Administration & Human Resources and Business Services Office are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, and dependable student to join our team. The SLA in the position will support the daily needs of both offices.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist library patrons by greeting visitors and answering the telephone
- Assist with SLA new hire paperwork
- Assist with payroll preparations
- Assist with Libraries and HR activities or events
- Create graphics
- Post student jobs
- Create ID Badges for library employees
- Code invoices using Adobe
- Evaluate account statements
- Reconcile accounts
- Assist in data clean-up, both paper and electronic
- Assist with reports by entering information into Excel or Word
- Assist with yearly inventory
- Mail delivery for both offices
- Filing/copying
- Assemble packets & mailing
- Daily light office cleaning
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current UT student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt if needed
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to learn how to read invoices and input data into Alma (library services platform managing print, electronic, & digital materials in a single interface)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience completing tasks and projects independently
- Prior office experience
- Familiar with Canva
- Availability to work over the Summer (must be enrolled)
