Fort Loudon Tour and Picnic – Fall 2013

FortLoudon

The East Tennessee Library Association happily invites you to join us for
a tour and picnic on Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 pm
at the Fort Loudoun State Historic Park on Tellico Lake in Vonore, TN.

Built in 1756, this 1,200-acre site is the location of one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier. As well as the reconstructed Fort Loudoun that is open to visitors, there are three hiking trails, picnic areas, as well as a museum & visitor center that is free and open to the public daily.

For more information on the location and its unique history, as well as directions please visit http://fortloudoun.com or http://www.tn.gov/environment/parks/FortLoudoun.

The cost is free to all participants, and ETLA members and non-members alike, as well as guests, are welcome. Drinks, charcoal, hot dogs (and veggie dogs!), condiments, and buns will be provided and you are invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share!

If you would like to join your East Tennessee Library colleagues for an autumn activity, please RSVP to Circe Anderson (canderson@sevierlibrary.org) by Thursday, October 24. Hope to see you then!
