The East Tennessee Library Association happily invites you to join us for a tour and picnic on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Tennessee’s newest state park – Seven Islands State Birding Park! There are over eight miles of scenic trails around the park, up the ridges and down to the waterfront, including a 1.2 mile paved greenway from the parking area to the French Broad River. We will be having lunch at the first barn near the parking entrance, and then walking the trails.
For more information on the location and its unique history, as well as directions please visit http://tnstateparks.com/parks/about/seven-islands or http://www.sevenislands.org.
The cost is free to all participants, and ETLA members and non-members alike, as well as guests, are welcome. Drinks and sandwiches will be provided, and you are invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share!
If you would like to join your East Tennessee Library colleagues for this activity, please RSVP to Meg Harrison at director@clintonpubliclibrary.org by Friday, September 12, 2014.
Hope to see you then!
