II. Minutes from the Dec. 18, 2009 Meeting:
JoAnne Deeken moved to approve the minutes from the December 18, 2009 Meeting. Susan Simmons seconded the motion and the motion carried.

IV. Old Business
There were two programs in the fall of 2009: The book brag at Carpe Librum and the Grants program at Shoney’s.
ETLA is offering honorary membership to presenters at the meetings.
V. New Business
Rothrock Lecture, April 22, 2010, 6 pm – 8pm. Karyn Storts-Brinks, a media specialist at Fulton High School, will discuss issues of intellectual freedom and her experience as the plaintiff in the lawsuit by the ACLU against Knox County and Nashville’s school systems, accusing them of unconstitutionally blocking student access to educational LGBT sites.

Website update: Peter Fernandez is revising the website. Drupal has been interacting poorly with the host server.
Nominations for ETLA Vice-President/President Elect, Secretary, and
Newsletter Editor are now being sought. Please consider nominating a colleague
or yourself. Submit nominations to Chris Durman at cdurman@utk.edu
Ann Viera mentioned the new State Librarian and Archivist who starts on February 8, 2010.
Martha announced that the Tennessee Library Association meeting is in Memphis on March 17-19.
VI. Adjournment: Chris Durman adjourned the meeting at 11:45 am after a motion by JoAnne Deeken and a second by Susan Simmons.
