The Understanding Plagiarism workshop will help students recognize and avoid plagiarism in their research and scholarly
work. After a discussion of the various aspects of plagiarism, we will introduce techniques of
paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting and will discuss appropriate citation of sources. Examples
and exercises will help reinforce some of the concepts.
