The Special Collections Reading Room will relocate to accommodate upcoming renovations in The Kefauver Wing of Hoskins Library. The Reading Room will be closed from December 15-26, 2008, as materials and staff members are moved.
The new, temporary home of the Reading Room will be the Audiger Room in the southeast corner of the second floor of Hoskins Library. The Reading Room will reopen in its new location on December 29, 2008, following the university holiday and administrative closing. Starting December 29, new hours for Special Collections and Archives will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Plans are underway for a temporary relocation of Special Collections and Archives materials and services from Hoskins Library to the former periodicals area (Room 120) on the first floor of John C. Hodges Library. Special Collections and Archives will be closed during the tentative move dates of April 24, 2009 through June 19, 2009.
As these dates are tentative, visiting researchers are urged to call ahead to confirm operating dates and hours. Visit Special Collections and Archives at www.lib.utk.edu/spcoll/ or call 865-974-4480.
