Destination Wellness: Wellness Week March 9-13, 2009

KNOXVILLE — “Destination Wellness” is the theme on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus next week as students tie up loose ends before spring break arrives later in the month.

Beginning Monday, March 9, students will have the opportunity to attend and participate in health- and wellness-centered sessions across campus. From an informational session on tattoos and body art to suicide prevention training, “Destination Wellness” aims to improve the health of students’ bodies and minds. The week’s activities center around a wellness fair on Tuesday, March 10, that features demonstrations, health information and chair massages. A full list of wellness week activities and their locations is below.

UT’s Student Health Service and Division of Student Affairs are sponsoring “Destination Wellness” to raise student awareness of physical and mental health concerns before spring break arrives on March 16.
