David Northington, professor of music, was recently selected as the Phi Kappa Phi Artist for 2010-12 for his achievements as a pianist, professor, and community volunteer. The award, given nationally by the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi only once every three years, recognizes outstanding artist/scholars. Quest, UT Knoxville’s comprehensive research initiative, has selected Northington as its Scholar of the Week.
