NAVMEC’s draft report with recommendations, Roadmap for Veterinary Medical Education in the 21st Century: Responsive, Collaborative, Flexible, is now ready for public review and comment. The report includes input from three national stakeholder meetings, where some of the world’s most forward-thinking and innovative leaders in veterinary medical education, veterinary medicine, animal health and welfare, global health, public health, public policy and change management assembled to address current and emerging challenges in veterinary medical education.
The AAVMC Board of Directors anticipates closing the consultative period at the end of February 2011. The NAVMEC Board of Directors will receive the collected commentary, revise the report and recommendations taking the feedback into account, and submit the final draft roadmap to the AAVMC Board of Directors for its consideration and adoption at the AAVMC Board of Director’s meeting scheduled at the AAVMC Annual Conference, March 11, 2011, in Alexandria, Va.
