Get sms text message alerts from UT on your mobile
The UT ALERT text messaging system is designed to enhance and improve communication so that all members of the campus community can stay informed in the event of an emergency.
The system will add another immediate mechanism to the existing methods that the university has in place to alert the community to an emergency situation.
The service allows students, faculty and staff to “opt in” to be notified via text message in the event of an emergency or campus closure. The message can also be sent to a designated e-mail address, PDA or pager.
