Pendergrass Library is here to help save you time, provide access to the information you need, and make the research process as easy as possible. The following are just a few of the services we provide.

1. One-on-One Research Help
Overwhelmed by too much information? Don’t know where to start on your research? You can set up an appointment for a one-on-one meeting with your subject librarian to help with an assignment or other information need.
2. Library Express
Any of the 200,000 items in our collection, along with the millions of additional volumes in the UT system, can be delivered to any branch library location, such as Hodges or Music, through Library Express. Through Scan-on-Demand, we can also scan articles/chapters from print materials and deliver them as PDFs to your email account.
3. Access Library Resources, Anywhere
Use the library bookmarklet or go to our website to access reliable content, including agriculture databases and thousands of ejournals and ebooks. Check these resources from on campus or at home. Bonus Tip: Don’t know where to start finding electronic resources? Try one of our Research Guides.
4. Interlibrary Loan
Can’t find what you need? Interlibrary loan gives you access to items from other libraries around the world. Think we should own a particular book, magazine, or DVD? Please contact us and make a suggestion!
5. Endnote or Zotero
Once you have found resources, how do you keep track of them all? Generate and share works cited lists with a click or cite items within a paper using either Endnote or Zotero. They take the trouble out of collecting, organizing, and citing.
6. Multimedia and Technology
Pendergrass library strives to meet your multimedia and technology needs. We have a networked computer lab with access to the latest hardware and software. Digital cameras, video cameras, laptops, GPS, and more are all available for check out to help you complete your assignments.
7. Specialized Printing
Large-format printing is great for posters and banners! Submit a large format print request via our online form. Pendergrass also has two 3D printers to accommodate a variety of projects, from simple models to more complex. Visit our 3D print guide for more information.
8. Study Space
Need group study space? Pendergrass Library maintains a commons study area for group projects. Eating and drinking are allowed. Need quiet space? We have been told that the quiet study area in the stacks is one of the best kept secrets on campus. Need more flexibility? Consider reserving one of our study rooms.
9. Academic Support
The Office of Multicultural Student Life offers tutoring for agriculture classes on Wednesdays from 5-8 p.m. and Sundays from 3-6 p.m. in Pendergrass Library Study Room E. The Writing Center is at Pendergrass Library Wednesdays from 12-2 p.m. in Study Room E. OIT Research Support offers statistical consultations in Pendergrass Library any weekday by appointment. Call the OIT Helpdesk at (865) 974-9900 to schedule an appointment with a biostatistician.
