Faculty, Staff, Student Leaders, and Community Members:
On behalf of the Big Orange STEM Saturday (BOSS) planning committee and the UT Libraries, we would like to invite you to participate in our 6th annual BOSS mini-conference at Hodges Library. BOSS is a free event for middle school and high school students interested in pursuing STEM majors and careers, presented annually by the UT Libraries. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We would like to enlist your help. Your enthusiasm for the STEM disciplines or your expertise in a STEM specialty could help us make this year’s event the most engaging and informative BOSS conference ever.
We invite you to present a 30-minute session on a topic of your choice. Presenters will offer their programs twice during our breakout sessions from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.. Lunch is included for all presenters. All STEM or STEM-related topics will be given consideration. Proposals should include the author(s) name(s), title, and a brief abstract not to exceed 100 words.
Please submit proposals via our web link: https://utk.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bI3MSbAm3Ejn4lD (Proposals sent by email will not be accepted.) Submission deadline is Thursday, February 2, 2017.
If you have questions, please contact Thura Mack at tmack@utk.edu or 865-974-6381.
