Spirit Awards
The Annual Libraries Spirit Awards Ceremony and Breakfast celebrates the accomplishments of the UT Libraries Faculty and Staff from throughout the year. Below is information about the two Spirit Awards Committees: the Planning Committee and the Nomination Review Committee.
The Spirit Awards Planning Committee is involved in the overall planning process of the Spirit Awards ceremony. The planning committee organizes the event and assists with day of tasks during the ceremony. This committee is able to submit nominations and be nominated for an award as they do not select or view any submissions.

The Spirit Awards Nomination Review Committee is responsible for collecting and compiling submitted nominations and reviewing, judging, and selecting the winners for assigned categories. Members of the nomination review committee are unable to submit or be nominated for awards they are charged with selecting. However, they can submit and/or be nominated for those awards selected by the Dean and/or other assigned committees.

The Libraries Spirit Awards committees encourage all the UT Libraries’ faculty and staff to take this opportunity to nominate colleagues who deserve recognition. The review committees and Dean Smith will consider the nominations and select recipients according to the awards criteria. Please review the guidelines for nomination rules and the awards page for individual descriptions and criterion. Once the nomination period is open you can submit your nominations using the online form. Individuals may submit more than one nomination for any award but each nomination must be made using a separate form.
