I chose "Centuries of Childhood" because it was the first book that made me feel like a true scholar in the field of Child & Family Studies. Interpreting and understanding the evolution of adult-child-community relationships across history laid the foundation for my continued curiosity and monitoring of relationship and community trends. Recognizing such evolution in its macro-and micro- forms adds to my ability to create innovative and impactful change in communities at the interpersonal and family-levels.
