I purchased the second edition of this book as an 18-year-old undergraduate student to place on my desk as an inspiration for getting to use it one day in veterinary school. And I knew if I didn't get into veterinary school, I had just wasted fifty dollars. I have now taught directly out of this book for 25 years at The University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine. It was a good investment.
