This revolutionary book calls on humans to be better stewards of our planet. Though we face many new environmental challenges from when this book was written, the sentiment still holds true today. As a biologist, I see the relevancy still today.

I would like to select this book reason being it's been very well received in Brazil.

Phyllis Carlin's chapter in this book was a big inspiration for my dissertation work on family farms and my work as an assistant professor to serve the farmers of Tennessee. I was honored to take two classes with her and have her on my master's thesis committee. She was a big inspiration for my teaching and research philosophies.

Youth Sport is one of the most participated in social experiences of American Life, yet we pay so little attention to what occurs within that space. Reading this book affirmed that the scientific study of youth sport is important and valuable. When possible, we should work to maximize the benefits of youth sport and attempt to minimize the detriments.

In a world where we can so often be divided, separated, and judgmental, this book has helped me to be more curious, kind, and understanding toward others.

Throughout my career there have been many mentors, colleagues, friends, and family that have believed in my ideas. As I read this book to my two girls, I felt it captured the gratitude I have for those who have impacted my life and guided me to where I am today.

I'm a passionate engineer and an avid Disney fan. This book marries two significant aspects of me. The book acknowledges practical concepts for better engineering design, quality customer service and engagement, but also lifts the soul a bit with advice beyond the professional walls.

This book, written by a friend and mentor, is foundational to the current turn in Black sociolinguistics. Baugh, the progenitor of the study of the phenomenon of linguistic discrimination pulls back the curtain on all the ways in which race-based discrimination is still not only enabled but encouraged when it is on the basis of language and points the way to the use of Linguistics to intervene. This book shouts that Black lives and Black voices matter, and reminds us that there can be no social science without social justice.

I have read this book countless times since the early days of my career. And I still read it now. The words by Prof. Khomskii, a legendary physicist, are always so inspiring and refreshing.

This is an important work from some of the leading Scholars in my field.
