Cataloging

Cataloging Department located at John C. Hodges Library is responsible for the University of Tennessee Libraries' catalog database. Catalogers provide description for our library materials by original and copy cataloging all physical materials and some e-resources for all branches of UT Libraries, Special Collections and University Archives, and perform batch processing of MARC records and invoices. Our team also maintains the local catalog database and our catalog records and holdings in WorldCat database. We also create and update name authority records in the Library of Congress Name Authority database.
