Laura Romans is the Manuscripts Archivist with the Special Collections department at the University of Tennessee Libraries. In her role, she works to organize, describe, and make available the holdings of the Manuscripts collections which focus on regional history. She holds her MLIS from the University of South Carolina and her BA in history from Middle Tennessee State University. Her research interests include women’s history, southern Appalachian history, and student employment in archival settings.
