UT Libraries Exceeds Big Orange Goal

November 5th was UT Knoxville’s Big Orange Give, an intensive single day of fundraising.

We are happy to announce that not only did we meet, but we surpassed our $30,000 Big Orange Give Goal thanks to the generosity of many of you. After raising $46,150 from 153 generous UT Libraries’ supporters, we met the challenge set by Emeritus Professor and Hodges Society Board member Ralph Gonzalez to unlock an additional $25,000 donation, bringing total donations to $71,150 from 154 donors for UT Libraries and the Press. We also received generous matching funds and pledges from Professors Teresa Braden Walker and Rita Hoyt Smith, Debby Schriver and Scot Danforth, Bill and Laura Lane, and Sam Venable.

The enthusiasm of our donors is contagious. You are making a big difference in the lives of our students, not only on campus, but as they embark on their careers and impact our state and our world. Our faculty and staff are grateful for your commitment to research, learning, and the student experience.
