Latin Architectural Dreamscapes: Interpretation Through Collage
Discover how ideas from Latin American architecture can reshape the spaces where you study, gather, and rest. Join visiting professor Nicolas Valencia from the School of Interior Architecture in the Medbery Makerspace, 209 Hodges Library, at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 19, for a short, accessible talk on color, climate, and community in Latin American projects. Then stay for a relaxed, hands-on collage and mood‑board activity where you’ll design a small space for a campus community you care about.
No experience is required — just drop in, create, and choose whether to leave your board to be featured in a pop‑up library display. All materials will be provided. Registration is required.
Nicolas Valencia’s work explores contemporary architecture and urban dynamics in Latin America through critical writing, editorial projects, and public engagement. In 2022, he was awarded the Young Architect Prize by the Chilean Association of Architects.
