Instructors, plan ahead for spring course materials and digital media!
November 1 is the deadline to submit textbook adoption requests and video digitization requests for Spring Semester classes.
Vol Books, a division of UT Knoxville’s official campus store, runs a course materials program that saves students millions of dollars a year on textbooks. Total Access offers undergraduate students all required textbooks for a single flat fee per term. Course Access offers graduate students required textbooks in digital format at costs that are reduced through negotiation with the publishers. UT Libraries is a partner in the Total Access and Course Access ventures, purchasing unlimited-use e-textbooks whenever possible.
For the Fall 2026 Semester, Total Access saved undergraduate students more than $3,782,000 (32,700 students participating), and Course Access saved graduate students more than $86,000 (7,499 students participating).
Since Fall 2023, UT Libraries has added 330 films to our collections and assisted with over 1,300 digital film requests for classroom use.
